His brother William and sister Mary Iversen predeceased him. He was a student at L. C. C for all his schooling and excelled in athletics principally hockey but also football and soccer. He spent a year at the University of Bruxelles to become bilingual before joining the family firm Molson Brewery. He and Claire met in 1955 and were married in November of that same year. He also welcomed to Canadian soil the first Russian hockey team. They played a combination team of Junior Canadians and 5 from the pro team. It was a historic game. He renovated the Forum eliminating all the pillars and installing escalators. He won 5 Stanley Cups during those years. He was father to John Henry (Miriam), Catherine Elizabeth and David Hugh (Christine) and grandfather to his proudest legacy Thomas and Natalie Anderson, Katya and JJ Molson and Daniel, Niki and Daphne Molson. After his hockey years he embraced the Canadian Art scene opening a gallery 'Continental Galleries' on Drummond St. David and Claire hosted many extremely successful vernissages with Mariitta Maavara, Jack Hardie and Benny.
